When it rains...
So after wondering and thinking about how the hell I was going to try and get ahold of my ex husband, whom I havn't heard from in well over a month, I finally broke down and left a message for his boss, hoping there was an answer he could give me. Peter (the boss) finally called me back today with said anwer. Jeff (the ex) was "terminated with cause" several weeks ago, and without giving too much detail on the reasons, I have come to the conclusion that he is in trouble with either drugs or alcohol. Peter informed me that he is "extremely worried about Jeff and if I do talk to him to please have him call me because I can get him into Hazeldon (a drug and alchohol rehab center)". He wished me well and was sorry he couldn't do more for me. I then called Jeff's mother, wondering if she had any clue as to what was going on with her son. She informed me that yes she did know that Jeff no longer had a job, and he told her that he was fired after he had gotten into an accident on the job (he is....er WAS a delivery driver for a bakery) and was immediately fired for the accident, but by "someone else" not Peter, because Peter was out of town at the time. She also informed me that he has stopped over at her house quite a bit, which got me a tad irritated due to the fact that I havn't heard word one from him! I explained to her that I talked to Peter personally and told her what he implied to me about what may be going on. She was shocked to say the least. I gave her Peter's phone number so that she could talk to him and maybe get some more information out of him (she can be VERY persuasive to say the least lol). I also informed her that it was imperitive that I hear from him because our daughter, who is supposed to be on Jeff's health insurance, has been having severe asthma attacks lately, and if his insurance is no longer valid, she's screwed! We both agreed something "funny" is going on, and if one or the other of us hears anything "interesting", we'd let the other know. At this moment, I am HIGHLY irritated with Jeff for not contacting me about what has happened, however at the same time I am extremely worried about him. If things are as bad as Peter is implying, God forbid, this could kill him. I'm deathly afraid on how I'm going to explain this to my daughter (who is pissed beyond belief at her father right now). Not to mention this is bringing me back into a hell I don't want to think about, but must. I've already talked to child support about what has happened, and was informed that if he's not working, then there won't be any money being taken out for the kids, which unfortunatly means it will be cut off soon, unless he pays them directly. Something has got to give, and I hope to God that it will eventually turn out for the best.

How do you like your bagels?
With plain cream cheese, red onion, tomato and lox....Jew's breakfast of champions! Oh yea, and none of these wimpy, wannabe, mushy, smushy so-called bagels ya find in the grocery stores either. It needs to be a nice, hard-on-the-outside-chewey-on-the-inside, boiled then baked, New York style bagel (which are next to IMPOSSIBLE to find up here in Minnesota
).
I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!
